Heard at Caño Colorado and Rio Cuyuni. Some authorities consider that T. flaviventris almost certainly involves more than one species. Hilty’s Birds of Venezuela considers flaviventris (Ochre-lored Flatbill) separate from birds from s. Peru to s. Brazil (Olive-faced Flatbill T. viridiceps). At present the SACC does not recognise this in the absence of published data (or the change from “Flycatcher” to “Flatbill” in the lack of a formal proposal).
